ROMAN HELMET
SCA LEGIONARY

This helmet is designed to be an affordable "Roman-looking" helmet for SCA combat. The design was inspired by various iron Gallic helmets of the 1st C AD. It is not intended to be an exact copy of any authentic helmet type, but its relative simplicity is intended to keep the price reasonable.

It has proper rivet bosses, but instead of complicated embossing, it has stylized applique plates to represent standard features found on historical examples, and the neck guard is of riveted construction.

A more accurate Roman helmet is also available, based on the Gallic J model.
