ROMAN GALLIC J HELMET
BASIC MODEL
This helmet is modeled after the Gallic J model of the late 1st C AD. The Gallic J was chosen because the design
lends itself well to being adapted for rattan combat.
This version of the helmet lacks some features found on the original example in order to offer a less expensive
alternative to the "Bells & Whistles" model. It does
not have the embossed decoration on the cheek plates and neck gaurd, the cheek plate hinge is not represented,
and there are no crest holder attachments.
The skull and neck gaurd are of one piece, and it has proper rivet bosses, "eyebrows", and brow gaurd.
